"All I could hear were birds, singing your praise."

My latest story try. It's a little more profound and ambiguous than the previous story I wrote, but for that same reason the characters are developed further. The story isn't based on me, although the setting and characters of Karlen, Talitha, Jordan, and others reflect but at the same time refract personalities of many close friends and life in Singapore. But more specifically, I am not Karlen =). There aren't any chapter arrangements, its just all on one page, hopefully that's easier to read and load. I'll be updating at least every two days, until dreaded school starts. Hope you like it.

Fate, Destiny, Luck and Perfection

Fate, destiny and luck. All part of life. All working in strange ways, bringing people together and tearing them apart. Controlling life, emotion and behaviour. Lives, travel different paths at the hands of fate. Relationships, ripped apart and destroyed by destiny. All just a matter of luck. Or is it?

This story is set in 1996-1997. Yes- before the Hanson's became popular, for all those people who wanted to know. No- it's not just a tale of two lovers or romance, it's about relationships, emotions, behaviour and the onslaught of 'Fate, Luck, Destiny and Perfection'. The story doen't really involve anything overly graphic, however concepts may only be suitable for those over 13. Don't even attempt to copy the story-- it's not a good idea. That's it for the disclaimer. One more thing: E-mail me with comments, (tell me what you think, so I know it isn't just a waste of space) shallyv@iname.com

Julie had always thought of her life as being pretty normal, too normal, in fact. When she thought about it more, she began to see that she was so normal, it was weird in a way. The people she knew, each had something different about them. A character that made them unique and stand out in their own way. She was just... well... she was just Julie. Nothing special about her personality, nothing different about her family, she wasn’t rich, nor was she poor, she was just Julie. It frustrated her at times. Why couldn’t she be her own person, why did her family have to portray the all American family? Maybe it wasn’t so much her friends that were strange, maybe it was just her. Remember, fate twists lives, into anything but normal.
