Suddenly she heard Issac laughing.

"Man, Julie, and I thought I wasn't supposed to tell you when I was kidding around"

"I HATE YOU ALREADY ISSAC HANSON" Trying her hardest to be angry. She was mad, but ironically the whoel thing was funny. She realized she had been quite the hypocrite

"You found it funny didn't you"

"NO I DID NOT"

"Oh God, I do believe in you," Issac mocked and then burst out laughing.

"SHUT THE HELL UP"

"haha, youre not Christian are you? Using Hell. tsk tsk"

"Well I doubt you are a pious Christian for pulling that show"

"Its called fooling around Julie."

"It wasn't funny"

"I guess not, but it was nice touching you. You know youre really are beautiful, I can see what Zac sees in you. It's not just the way you look, youre, youre personality, its overwhelmingly strong and inviting."

"..thanks.." Julie blushed profusely, Issac was turning out to be quite the sensitive sweet guy she had always dreamed of, his humor was an added bonus

"JULIE, I WAS KIDDING AGAIN. I know better than to hit on my brother's girlfriend. Not that you arent pretty or have a great personality, but...you know."

"hahha, you really thought I cared about what you thought..haha jokes on you. I gotta admit though, your sense of humor is pretty cool"

"uh..thanks..." It was Issac's turn to blush. Maybe she was the sweet slapstick funny girl that he had dreamed about, the "one" he was destined to meet. And it seemed like she liked him too. Whoops...Zac...forgot about that..

"JUST KIDDING" and with that she ran out of the library.

God what was I thinking?, they both thought to themselves. Issac then ran after her. Afterall he thought, there's nothing wrong with getting to know his brother's girlfriend. He caught up to her, although it seemed obvious that she could run much faster than him. She seemed like quite the athlete. She had intentionally slowed down so he could catch up with her.

He picked her up in a swoop and proclaimed

"We're going to get some icecream"

"UH. Maybe YOU are. But i'm not...and I believe I am quite capable of ambulatory procedures such as walking, Issac."

She made an attempt to be be cold, but it didnt work. She had to admit that Issac's little joke was still having after effects on her. And being held up by his arms, was not exactly the best position to be in for a quick get away.

Wow, he thought to himself, she had a developed vocabulary. Zac sure had snagged a smart girl. But it was strange imagining her with Zack, she was after all a few years older. Three years. Maybe it woudlnt make a difference later, but 3 years was a large percentage of your life when you had only lived for 14 years as in Julie's case. She wasnt what one would describe as extremely pretty, but she had punch to her. Strong yet soft.

"Issac, I'm serious, Im not exactly comfortable in this position and I'll be honest, I don't like it when guys touch me and they don't know me.

"Well, it didn't take much for you and Zac to kiss did it?" Issac teased

"God, does he tell you everything??"

"Yup, and don't say God's name in vain."

"Oh thats a load of crap. And obviously he hasn't told you everything, since you seem to think that Zac and I are going out."

Woah, that doesn't sound normal...talking about going out with a guy. This conversation was supposed to be one of those things that occured when you were 16 at least, right?

"Gosh, freshman chicks, you try to sound innocent when we all know your true colors...go from one guy to the next don't you?"

"WHAT? no. I'd like to inform you that I have previously never gone out with a guy, and besides I'm a sophmore, not a freshman."

"You are?? I thought you were 14?"

"I am. Skipped 5th grade"

"Wow" This girl was impressing him by the second

"No big deal, seriously. I bet if you weren't homeschooled and went to our pathetic public schools you'd do the same thing."

Hmm.. pretty modest too, Issac thought as he spaced out.

"DO YOU COPY?"

"Oh God, Julie, THAT was corny as hell."

"And I thought you were a true Christian Issac."

"You caught me. Now I have to go confess all my sins to Father Gossip at Church on Sunday."

"Father Gossip?"

"The pastor at our church...is known for uh...not being extremely secretive."

"Hm, I see...now enlighten me on why you bother following this organized religion."

"Christianity isn't about the pastors at your church, or the number of stained glass panels at your church, or how much you donate to the charity, its about your faith in God, your ability to make the right decisions, do what is morally correct."

"Preaching again. Conveniently avoiding the subject once more. Why can't you just give up the organized religion facade and stick with believing in God privately, and do things morally correct in your own time, not just on Sunday's."

"Well, Sunday's are just a day to prove your complete devotion God."

"If God wanted you to be completely devoted to him, he obviously is quite egotisitcal. Your bribing Him, going to church, its just a form of flattery if you really do believe in him, otherwise if you dont, going to Church is just a way to hide your guilt. Its all a bunch of b.s. - bad solutions to a simple problem of insecurity."

"B.S..bad solutions...haha.."

"Just trying to lighten up this involved discussion."

"You're not the average American Girl are you Julie?"

She stuttered. It was true. Things had changed. Nikki had gone. She had no friends, well unless you counted Zac, and well, lately Issac. She was interested in different things from most people, Egyptian culture, she worshipped Van Gogh, a name most people her age would think was a new French cheese. She read a novel each week, something Nikki had always thought she was strange for. I'm strange, she thought to her self, ironically uplifting. She was not the average American Girl she always thought she was.

"Nope, Issac, I'm not. And I sure am damn proud of it." Julie grinned widely.

"Haha, Zac's lucky to have a girl like you"

"Yeah, he is" and she smiled, knowing what she would do the next day.
