HansonHanson, a group of three brothers, Issac (17), Taylor (14), and Zac (12) from Tulsa, Oklahoma released their third album in May, taking the music world by surprise. The three boys first started harmonizing singing Amen at the dinner table. Five years ago they began singing acapella and started writing songs when the oldest one (Issac) was nine. After that they picked up instruments, Issac on the guitar, Taylor on the keyboard, Zac on the drums, and began writing and composing their own music. They then secured a number of local gigs around Tulsa, and sang at places such as the Blue Rose Cafe and at the local Mayfest while releasing two albums, MMMBop and Boomerang.(Produced by the Hansons not Mercury) Since then Hanson has topped the charts after releasing their third album, Middle of Nowhere, and later singles the upbeat "MmmBop", "Where's the Love" and the enticing "I Will Come To You". Their most recent Christmas album, "Snowed In" debuted at # 7 on Billboard charts and was rated as the number one Christmas album. Middle of Nowhere alone sold 10 million albums!(from Tulsa World article)Finally a video,(featuring Hanson) "Tulsa, Tokyo and the Middle of Nowhere" became the number one selling video for a number of weeks. One hit wonder? I seriously doubt it. This teen trio is overflowing with talent, energy and love for their music. This is NOT your average band. Hanson writes, sings and performs all their music. This is not media hype, it's called talent. With support from all over the world, these boys have brought in record breaking crowds, from the United States to Japan and Indonesia. Over 150,000 web sites have been made, devoted to these brothers, showing the immense support from just the web community. Their positive message and easy going lyrics, have taken everyone by surprise, but people have finally realized that this is the future of music. These three teens from Tulsa have the spirit of music within them and give a positive outlook to the future of music in later generations.
